watched street kings on my computer. its a wicked movie - backstabs, twists, violence n a group talented cast which includes keanu reeves (the guy who acted as Neo in matrix), hugh laurie (the doctor in House), chris evans (Johnny in Fantastic Four), amaury nolasco (Fernando Sucre in prison break) n terry crews (the dad in my wife n kids). however, i found the movie slightly dull n empty at parts.


went to master alim to play pool before heading to fitness zone with my bro n chia. did a little gym work n played badminton n basketball.

mall outing~

went out to the mall with chia n her friends. Had a drink in Cheezbox with my bro, chia, gladys, chea hong, shin n emily. before long, eric, jon n yiwen joined us as well. i ordered the pearl black milk tea which had 2 smilies :) its suppose to be good but it was too sweet for my liking. yiwen n emily left after the limteh session.

Reached home. eric n jon went to my neighbour's house to play table tennis. this is like my first time stepping into my neighbour's compound without there being a function eventhough i have been living next to them for god-knows-how-long.

hey guys. its been a while since i have updated my blog. my days have been quite eventful lately. won't go much into detail on my day to day business as i dont want to drown u readers with pages after pages of text. since i came back to brunei, my camera hasnt been flashing as much as it was in the uk. i hardly take photos now which is quite a sad thing (vien would definitely agree to this). anyways, i am just going to summarise what i have done these couple of days.

1) Worked out n played badminton n basketball in fitness zone kiulap.
2) Went to RBRC to play football.. well its just kicking around.. benny being the keeper.
3) Lunch in yappy with hafiz.
4) Pool in master alim.
5) Swimming.
6) Attended the opening ceremony of one of my cousin's newly opened fishing shop, Lun's Fishing. Congrats man! all the best n goodluck with your fishing shop!
7) Met up with vince n edwin (the uk boys) in yappy.
8) Catching up sessions - Lunch in yappy with voon, teoh, hannan, izzi n alex. its been quite a long i have seen n talked to voon, teoh n hannan eventhough nan studies in uk.
9) DOTA-ing with the lads in rainforest gadong n on garena as well. sadly, today is the last one with voon (have a safe flight back to malaysia n good luck mate!)
10) Hanging around n being stupid.
11) Went to Fratinis n one of the burger shops near unitek for dinner. 50% off the price as it is nearing the sultan's bday which is tomorrow!
12) Disconnecting n checking out the amps n dvd players in the music room. Now i can plug my ipod in n listen to the music through the ProAc speakers!

One stupid thing i did when i got back was scrap my car on one of the corners near yappy. its so annoying when i got out to see what have become of my car after it "traded paint" with the pillar. Did my part by trying to cover the scratches n brown paint from the wall. Polished that small area for around half an hour with car polish wax. at least it doesnt look as bad as it was.

my specs broke into half yesterday as i was washing them. im so annoyed. now i have to stick to these "tiger-looking" glasses until i make a new pair which is after sultan's bday!

went out to swensens for lunch with von, zat, jd, elmi n mr hatchett. eventhough elmi n von studies in the uk, i have only met them a couple of times in london. its been nice to see everyone of you again. Again, im glad everyone is doing well in their studies n enjoying life. that includes mr hatchett as well.

Watched 'Wanted' starring Morgan Freeman as Sloan (the head of Fraternity - a secret society of assasins) n Angelina Jolie as Fox who was a member of the group. it was a wicked movie with clips of humour, action, slightly abusive language (which i m quite surprised the mall didn't censor) n curving bullets!

Had dinner at home. sambal prawns with asparagus~ mmm.. im so glad that i don't even have to do any cooking or laundry here at all!

Went to yappy to celebrate uncle seng's birthday. it was a small celebration. only a few of my cousins were there..

Called imperial yesterday to ask about my results for my first year. was shocked when they told me my grades. im extremely pleased with myself!

anyways, went out to yappy with leo, teoh, alex n voon for lunch today. had a good long chat with the guys. its must have been 1 to 2 good years without seeing them except alex. glad to hear that all of them are doing well. Went to master alim to play pool for around an hour before heading to the kiulap cineplex to watch "the happening" starring mark wahlberg acting as elliot who was a teacher. in my opinion, the movie was terrible. everything is so slow n it takes them quite sometime to set the scene n plot. but anyhow, the ticket was cheap! only costed us 3 dollars each, which is around 1 pound! you would never get this offer in the uk. tickets there are like 8 pounds.

alex n voon left after movie. i had to bring teoh back to his house cos he didn't have transport. leo n i went back to yappy to have a drink after that. only found out that he is leaving to birsbane to continue his course this friday. its been fun hanging around n i hope to see you in the future!

Wicked night~

first of all, i would like to wish kai sheng n jon shim happy birthday. sorry kai, i couldn't attend your bday celebration cos i had something to do in the afternoon n evening. ohh well, hope u had fun n have a blast!

Went to yappy for dinner before heading to jons house to celebrate his bday party. chia n eric were there as well. but before heading there, shee n i went to one of shee's friend's house to pick up some booze. due to the lack of knowledge about brunei roads, i drove all the way to sengkurong from gadong jangsat. i cant believe i actually did that!

Alas, got to jon's house, wished him happy bday n met quite a handful of people. chia left pretty soon after i came cos she had to go get her brother from tuition, so she missed out the drinks. Saw chea hong, emily, chang huei, benny, ian, jean, cody n others there.. can't remember all their names. A session of picture-taking?

Soon alot of people started leaving. it was only 10! anyways, continued drinking. i didn't drink alot cos i had to drive. but my bro sure did his part. funny moments there! chang n i were drinking coke in the end while the others were on chivas.. haha. finished 2 bottles of vodka pear (apparently mixed with 7-up but it tasted so pure. tasted like medicine actually) n 1 bottle of chivas mixed with coke. Most of the girls left so the guys started going crazy or was it just the alcohol kicking in? Frog jumping n push-ups in the living room, boxing matches n singing in jon's room! i videoed most of the acts there, including the benny vs jon boxing match which ended in a KO! it was dam funny there but soon i had to leave cos my bro got owned (vomitted in the toilet.. thank goodness its not on the floor). a smashing night there! hope all ur dreams n wishes come true jon!

Work?

hey guys, its been quite some time i have updated my blog because i have been quite busy lately or is it more like lazy? it must be the weather (hot n humid just makes me want to laze around aimlessly) n environment. people in brunei take it slow n easy compared to those in uk. totally a different environment. anyways, enough of these comparisons.

Have been allocated the job of "Driver" by my mum. my usual routine goes something like this:
bring my sis to school at 12 then go to yappy for lunch. hang about till around 2ish before getting my bro back from school. Drop him back home then head off somewhere to relax before getting my sis from school. go out for dinner.
this is quite a monotonous routine to be doing but my mum have told me about their times n i have to get them. not really nice about having a license after all~ haha

nyways, went to fitness zone yesterday n signed up for the three-day trial. my first time there! haven't stepped into any gym since i landed in brunei. went with eric, jon, vien and my bro. met kaisheng n voon there as well. its been quite a long time i saw voon. didnt even know he was in brunei actually. did some weights n played badminton. was totally knackered at the end of the work-out.

Today was my first day of working in Elmech. well, i wouldn't actually count it as work. walked about in the office, getting a feel of what contracting firms do. helped out with computer problems n went to maintence sites. worked only half-day. after lunch, i basically didn't go back to the office cos i had to go get my bro. stopped by at JIS n saw mr yates teaching a class so didn't bother disturbing him but i had a chat with mr griffiths (my ex-tutor). Brought chia n my bro to yan's house (apparently chia only wanted to say hi to her but the talk dragged on...) u know how girls are like.. emily was there as well. didn't get anything they were talking about, well u cant blame me. they just talk too fast~
