Pack it up..

Woke up quite late today after watching Sin City till 2ish am yesterday night. its quite a weird movie considering most of it is black n white n there are several different endings to the movie.
Started doing a little packing. Packed all my books n shoes into my luggages n noticed that i have already ran out of space.. my books n notes have already completely taken 1 bag!
Helped izzi move his luggage from south kensington to bayswater.

Went to nandos to have dinner with izzi before going to Odeon in Leicester square to meet ming. We wanted to catch Iron Man but the tickets were all sold out! Ended up going to Ciao again for more ice cream!

3 of us were acting so weird in the restaurant, with ming taking random time-lapses n videos then playing it backwards to show as if we r throwing out our ice cream! Didn't know why we were laughing so hard (i know this looks quite disturbing). The guy sitting beside us kept looking at us as if we were a bunch of lunatics. Must be the after-shock of the exams! Still in the party mode.. i dont know why i get the feeling of wanting to go back to brunei so badly now. the feeling of missing home is hitting me now...

Race Day!

Today started off with RACE DAY! Went to the area just outside my lecture room on level 2 to race our rubber-band car. Eventhough i didnt win, i had a great time there...

This marks the end of the manufacturing course for 1st year mechanical engineering in imperial college london.. a wonderful time i had! i hope i will have more of this in the future (hoping to get into 2nd year).

Finished before lunch, so popped into JCR (Junior Common Room) to grab a snack before heading to mings room to play some games!

Went to Misato for lunch at 1:30pm. Noticed tat its not only me who takes photos of the food I am eating, i see a couple of people doing the same thing just as soon as the food was served to their table! ming was messing around with my camera, taking pictures n time-lapses of random stuff.. i haven't uploaded any photos of myself recently, so i will just upload one random one..

Tried them on, but couldnt get the proper fit, so kept on trying until i got the proper fit! much better sound isolation n sound quality than the ipod earphones. u can actually listen to most of the instruments in the song. no regrets buying this!

End of being a Workshop man!

Woke up quite late today n arrived late to workshop thanks to the tube which was jam-packed with people. i hate peak hours.. it's like packed in a sardine can! i wasn't the only one who reached late. Clement n Kiran were late as well.. ohh well what can u say.. the bunch of PC mech-engers..

Did the dreaded G-clamp assignment today. i was the last to start on the G-clamp but the first one to start filing (which i found pretty impressive).. Filing for about 4 hours in total, i was exhausted n not finished but the technicians just accepted my piece. i then polished my G-clamp n put it into the oven to bake it. Enjoyed the last manufacturing session eventhough it was pretty tiring (i was singing n dancing on the spot while filing at one point.. haha)

Finish the G-clamp at 4pm n got presented a certificate showing that i have attended the workshop n im capable of using the machines for my 2nd year.

Walked to Brunei Hall again with ming straight after the workshop coz ming can't wait to try out his new UE11 earphones which is already in tieng's room! Custom-made earphones with ear impressions, costing him a whopping US$1150! dayum~

Decided to have dinner in brunei hall but the food is all gone.. there is only vegetables left.. instead we went to Garfunkel's Restaurant in paddington to have dinner with tieng n ming. the food there is quite good n filling!

Hung around in tieng's room till around 10ish.. izzi was there as well, acting all random. it must be the after-exam phase he's having. TOO MUCH GAMING!

Headed back to PC hall n im met with another TUBE DISASTER! got into the tube n it was heading towards edgeware road when suddenly the tube stopped in the middle of the track for some odd 30 to 40 minutes due to a signal failure in edgeware road. i was literally stuck in the stationary tube! the driver eventually walked past us n drove the tube back to paddington station, where we had to walk to the front of the tube to exit!

Happy Belated Bday Celine!

First of all, i would like to wish my sis, Celine happy belated 11th bday! i hope u had a good time celebrating ur bday n i will be back with presents in 10 days time! =) i duno whether she will be reading this though, but do let her read it bro. These are the most recent pics i got of her on my computer.. n they are like 1 to 2 years old.







I've been up to nothing much this weekend. Watched "I am Legend" n "PS I love You" on my computer n played "transport tycoon".. a classic! Cooked curry chicken n had a BBQ in the hall today. apparently according to the one of the subwardens, there is something such as a National BBQ week in the UK n the hall is celebrating it. i went down around an hour late, but there is still food.. so i had my fair share of burger, chicken n sausages.

Workshop man!

my exams are over already.. but im not totally free yet. i got 4 days of compulsary manufacturing workshop course. At the end of this course, i will get a certificate stating that i am capable of using the workshop in imperial. It's been a rountine for me for the past couple of days.. waking up at 7:30am, have breakfast, take the tube to college, workshop time, lunch n games in ming's room (thanks to izzi n his Xbox), more workshop, hang around n go shopping, have dinner in brunei hall, go back at 12am n sleep at 1ish. All in all this is pretty tiring but FUN!

Went to Nandos in bayswater to have dinner yesterday night with izzi n ming, then we decided to watch "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". it was a terrible movie.. first time watching Indiana Jones n i am not impressed.. especially when the movie ticket cost me 9.60 pounds.

Step-up

Took my last exam yesterday.. it went terrible.. leaving out 3 questions totally blank out of 8 n guessing the rest.. this mechatronics paper was probably the hardest one out of all the years. this is definitely a step-up from the previous past papers. im just hoping i pass that paper.. anyways, finished my exam at 11:30am on tuesday.. walked to brunei hall through hyde park.. it was a pretty relaxing walk especially after the exams..

Went to Satay House with ming, tieng, izzi, chia, suang, shin and chiann for lunch. A homey-place.. ahh back like the times in brunei~ It's quite pricy when compared to brunei standards though.. but it's definitely a treat after all the hard work!

Went to tottenham court road after lunch.. my first time there.. apparently there's a road where ming, izzi n dave named 'magic road'.. a road filled with electronic shops. u can basically find any electronic gadgets there, whether it be laptops, cameras, mobile phones, earphones.. u name it~

I was on the hunt for new earphones... tried on the UE super fi 3 studio.. was impressed with it.. the amount of isolation it provided n the bass.. definitely a step-up from the free ipod earphones.. however i didnt buy it - price was 85 pounds which i later found out on amazon was actually 51 pounds. Settled for the shure se210 instead (ming's recommendation). i didnt want to spend tat much on earphones.. i got more things i wan to get! haha

Bought a few goodies here n there.. ended up in carnaby street again.. chia n suang with their pink bench..

One Hardcore Week

alrite guys, its been quite some time i've blogged.. this week just passed by so fast.. had 4 exams, 4 down n dusted n 1 more to go! i cant possibly say i have done well on all the exams.. its not like A levels anymore where the passing mark is pretty high compared to the mere 40% pass mark in uni. this percentage may look low, but dont be decieved by it. It's a whole new level! nyways, enough of talking about my exams. i just hope my results come out the way i want them.

Watched the first half of the Manu Chelsea Champions League final on wednesday night.. it was a thriller, with Manu scoring 1st - Cristiano with his open-header. Chelsea hit back right before half time when Lampard score an easy flick in. After that, i was back in the room, hammering away at those maths questions, but with my mind on the game. PENALTIES! Manu was on the verge of losing when Cristiano's penalty got saved by Cech (chances of him shooting to the right of him is very rare).. if only u were to here.. u would have seen Nigel in despair! hahaha.. it was going to be the final shot of the game with Terry coming up to take it.. he missed the penalty cos he slipped! Chelsea's luck got worse when Anelka misses right after.. Manu with the double this year! GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!
