snow in london during october? it's getting blistering cold. i can't imagine what weather would be like for the next months to come.

Finished lectures at 12 noon today coz wednesday is the day for sports for most unis. went to wilson house for my second muay thai lesson with david pacquette as the instructor. he really does push u hard, yet i enjoyed it. A very nice workout~

Cooked our weekly dosage of food.. lean mince beef with mushrooms n peppers along with tomato sauce n carbonara sauce.

Attended one of the shell talks regarding about CVs, interviews and the application process as i have no idea how to write one.. this is followed up by a free lebanese dinner!

Had dinner in some taiwanese restaurant in china town with chia, suang, shin n chiann. its a new place so we decided to try it out.. food was great!

The Power of Internet~

FINALLYYY~~ my new accom has internet.. i m finally alive now! live without internet has been a bore.. no blogging, no surfing the net, no chatting, no webcamming, no downloading.. the list goes on..

anyways.. i don't really have time to write such a detailed post now, coz many days have went by n i m just too lazy to write such a long tedious post like the previous one.. so why not let the pictures do the talking this time round....

Went to muay thai lessons in wilson house. it was my first one. met david from contender asia there.. hes our coach! a very tiring day. however, i enjoyed it!

Went for dancing lessons the day after. Learn the basic moves for tango n ballroom dancing. very enjoyable. i should have experienced this last year.. but oh well.. dont wanna dwell on the past. i sure do regret that i didn't experience enough new things last year. thats y there is a sudden urge to try new things out~

Attended the MSoc dinner at Holidae Villa located in Bayswater. it was a buffet.. i wouldn't say the food is superb but u get what u pay for. its only 8 pounds.

New recipe of egg omellete with McDonalds beef burger n fries and Asian Spaghetti with black pepper and pepper as the topping.

Toilet Cleaners? the toilet is now spotless clean, with the WC, bath-tub, sink n the floor shining. hopefully it can stay like this for a couple of weeks but i seriously doubt it. With 5 guys including me staying under one roof, its pretty hard to keep it clean~ im not saying we're dirty okay?

A Looooooong Post~~

i have written all these blog posts since i landed in the uk.. its very boring without internet over at my new accom.. uploaded the photos n stuff over in the college.. thanks to the uber fast internet..


28th sept – BON VOYAGE!

It’s a pretty tiring n hectic day. Went to vision works to adjust my specs n went to gadong to do some last minute shopping. Checking in at around 4pm. Maxed out the 35kg allowance.


29th sept – HOME SWEET HOME?

Landed in heathrow airport at around 6:30am. The flight was okay.. met a few Bruneians on the flight. The funny thing was that one of them actually forgot to bring his passport n boarding pass down with him when we landed in Dubai for a transit.

Hoping to move into my my new accommodation, Chamberlain House, which is located near Earls Court station (around 3 minutes walk to the station), I called nigel.. only to find out that we are moving in at 2pm. Walked to the uni to take a look at the new changes. We got a new central library! Went to brunei hall to meet up with tieng, yanmin n izzy before heading back to my new accom by van cos I left all my luggages in the storage room in bhall. Finally I moved in n to my disappointment, the place was a mess! Faults in the toilets n kitchen were found. My room was a pig sty.. concrete wardrobes, springy beds, dusty drawers, walls covered in cobwebs.

I was pretty disgusted by this but I had no choice.. I will have to live with this.. definitely not HOME SWEET HOME..

30th sept – BACK BREAKER!

Went to Sainsbury with ming n tieng to buy cleaning agents (gloves, the amazing lemon wipes, mop, dettol, vacuum cleaner) before starting to clean my room up. Its hard work cleaning up a room thoroughly, vacuuming the carpet floor n sides of the walls filled with cobwebs, wiping n cleaning drawers, wardrobes, doors, tables. After this tiring clean-up, you would expect to rest but how could I when I had a screwed-up springy bed that sinks n sags. My back was already hurting from last night’s sleep n the cleaning.. I need a new mattress for my bed!

1st oct – JACKING THINGS!

Went down to the store room of my new accom to see whether I could jack anything for my room or even the kitchen. Tried out a few beds but they were as springy as mine so decided not to change it but I got a new microwave from the store for the kitchen as the microwave was spoilt. One of the workers actually gave me the thumbs-up.. saying that we could get anything from the store!
Somehow, ming n I mingled into izzy’s area which is below ours. Saw a single bed that was solid (not springy!). heeding the advice from the worker.. its time to do some exchanges! Ming n I got ourselves new mattresses from izzy’s place. Obviously, this means more carrying n back-breaking work! Soon, nigel came back n we were back to carrying more things. This is worth it!

Alas, I get a bloody proper solid bed that doesn’t fucking sink. Im tempted to swear like hell here, but rather not.

Time to treat myself to a great dinner in Addies thai restaurant. A nice cozy place with wonderful spicy thai food n drinks!

Took a coach there n we reached headington school (all girls school that tieng n yanmin went to for a lvls) at around 10:30am. A very nice place to study in! Headed to the kitchen.. We could have anything we wanted for breakfast! Toast, yoghurt, fruit juice, honey.. the list goes on. U could even cook in the kitchen!

Walked around the school for a little while before heading down to oxford by bus. It’s a very quiet place compared to London where its all hectic n busy.

Headed down to biscester village to do some shopping.. well for me its more of a sight-seeing trip coz I have forgotten my debit card pin.. hence no extra cash to be spent. It’s a shopping heaven there.. all the branded items ranging from versace coats to adidas shoes.

Went back to London by coach again but this time round we were sitting in the coach that usually brings passengers to the airport. Lucky for us, there is a leg rest for the airport coach!

Had a Mexican dinner in one of the restaurants (cant remember the name) in Whiteleys in bayswater. Delicious nachos n crepes.

A very tiring day but we still manage to surprise nigel with a bday cake n bday presents after the trip!Happy 20th Bday Bro!

4th oct to 5th oct – CASINO?

JC n alex came down to London n stayed over at my new place. Apologies for the dirty place guys but next time u come.. my room will be tidier! Went to the casino twice in a matter of two days. Well theres always a first time. As for me, im there for the experience. No betting for me! Had dinner in golden dragon in china town. Peking duck!

7th oct – LUCKY DRAW WINNER!

My first time to campus for the 2M intro lecture. The timetable so far looks very tough n I bet its gonna get tougher the further the course goes! Anyways, attended freshers fair n signed up for a couple of clubs n societies – badminton, brunei, Malaysia, dance, muay thai. I was walking near MDH (main dining hall), just looking at random clubs n societies that I was interested in. Saw this HP booth n the guy there was telling a bunch of students to sign up for this lucky draw to win some tablet PC. The chance of me winning was so slim, but anyhow I cheekily entered myself for the lucky draw n guess what? I was called by the guy from the booth to go n collect my prize after fresher’s fair ended!
I GOT A NEW TABLET HP PC! WOOO!! N its better than the one I m currently using! :D

8th oct – MY VERY OWN ROOM~
JJ n poh shen finally got their new partition room. I get a room to myself now. Spent the day moving furniture n cleaning my room up… at least it looks tidier than before~

Had my first official lecture of the year today.. very boring n the workload this year has definitely stepped up by a whole lot. Deadlines n projects were thrown at us at the design lecture. How I dread it.
